Founded in 2020, in response to the Global Pandemic, Sult Artists Collective is an exciting group of multidisciplinary Kildare artists who have come together in a collective manner to promote and market our work. Despite exhibitions and arts events being deferred or cancelled in the two years of closures and lockdowns, our Artists have continued to create, design and produce new work and this is something we would like to share with you.
The word Sult is Irish for enjoyment, pleasure, craic, satisfaction and fun and we chose it as it encapsulates elements found in all our work.
Sult's inaugural exhibition was held at GRÁ in Naas, in the run up to Christmas 2020. In the latter half of 2021 we opened a Pop-Up Art Gallery on Kildare Town's Market Square and it was open until Christmas 2021.
In May 2022, marking the Centenary of the British Army withdrawing from Kildare, we opened Life Goes On, an emotive and extremely well attended Exhibition at Bord na Móna Headquarters in Newbridge. Our exhibition Life Goes On reopened at Phoenix Park Visitor Centre in Dublin on 29th October and ran until 29th November 2022. In 2023 and 2024 we hosted collaborative exhibitions as part of Brigid 1500 celebrations.
Each member of Sult Artists Collective has a profile, contact details and works which are available to purchase directly from the artist or through the site.
